Most organizations still rely on individual scripts for automation, often understood only by the person who wrote them. Ansible Automation Platform offers a different approach: centralized, repeatable and controlled automation with clearly defined access rights and a complete audit trail of all executions. Through practical examples from a managed services environment, the session will demonstrate how to automate network device configuration backup and restore, virtual machine provisioning, server patch management, and Active Directory tasks. Special emphasis will be placed on real-world experience – where implementations most often run into challenges, which pitfalls are often left out of the documentation, and what we would do differently today.
