This workshop offers a comprehensive introduction to the inner workings of AI models, covering foundational concepts such as local and remote models and an overview of the models' architectural families. Following the overview, the workshop shifts to hands-on activities and discussions with participants about two main areas. First, participants will explore how to maximize the benefits of AI-assisted coding, including instructions, agents, skills, tools, and MCPs. Second, the workshop demonstrates how to seamlessly integrate AI-assisted features into existing applications, such as adding a context-aware chat and smart add-ons that allow users to rapidly benefit from many different types of text transformation and analysis. Most examples will be in .NET, with a few in Python, spanning from inference to writing an MCP to build new tools and expand the capabilities of any modern AI client.
