Most companies do not have a data problem, they have a data sprawl problem. An ERP on SQL Server or SAP, a point of sale system on Oracle, a few public APIs, and no way to effectively manage the pile that all of this has quietly become. What that situation needs is a platform that separates where data sits from what runs on it. Storage you do not have to ration, one copy of the data, and a choice of engine at every step: Spark when the volume calls for it, Python when the source is messy, T-SQL when the shape is already tabular. Add one repository and matching development, test and production environments, and the platform stops being the constraint. This session will cover how raw files land at one end, a report someone actually trusts at the other, and the medallion architecture in between, all of it in Microsoft Fabric with Azure DevOps underneath.
